Hello all!
I wanted to take a minute to be stylish and “blog” about our newest prayer room activity, Prayer Secret. This project was inspired by the Post Secret project. The room has been set up for about a month now, and I have been in awe so far. Every time I go in, there is a new Prayer Secret to be prayed over. I have been inspired by other cards, had my heart broken, and most of all, felt connected to the creator of the card, although they are anonymous. This project is giving BCMers a chance to pray for one another in a completely unique way, and I am so excited about that! If you don’t quite understand this project, check out the Post Secret video, and then check out the Prayer Room, where an instruction sheet will give you even more information! It is open during school days, and you can feel free to make one in your room and then bring it to post at BCM, too. Take as much time as you need, and use that time to really connect with God through prayer. I hope you all are enjoying this!

Tonight we got into our family groups again. I think we are all growing because of our time together and it’s exciting to see this happen! The worship team from The Bridge Church in Portsmouth, Virginia came out to play for us tonight. Having them with us tonight was really awesome and brought us to a place of sincere worship.
After connections quite a few of us went to the DDM home to spend time with the men there who are handicapped. Hanging out with those guys and seeing their unique personalities was a complete blast. They are hilarious and I think they really enjoyed playing bingo, making cupcakes, and just watching tv with all of us! I can’t wait to go back next time and see them again!

Though the weather kept many away, some us watched the Superbowl together at BCM Sunday night. We had such a fun time together talking and eating. Oh yeah, what an exciting game! And some of the commercials were pretty good, too. The half time show…. well it got mixed reviews from the crowd! Overall, it was a great night. Check out the video.

Due to the weather conditions and cold temperatures, we are not having the big Superbowl party we had planned. HOWEVER, for those who still want to watch the game together, come to BCM around 6 pm! Drinks will be provided. Bring snacks to share and some friends. We’ll have a great time together!
Most importantly, be careful and don’t endanger yourself. If the road conditions near you are bad, please stay in!

The Princess Conference is officially post-poned until next week (Friday, February 12th) due to the weather. I don’t want to put anyone at risk, and a lot of girls have left for the weekend.

I always love Praise & Worship night at BCM! Next Thursday we’ll have a praise band coming and leading us in worship. Janice Linthicum’s brother is a member of the band. Be sure to come to Connections next week and bring some friends!

God was very active on our mission trip. We did sports evangelism, ministered to disadvantaged children and left our hearts in Belize. One big surprise on the trip was baptizing four of our team members and one Belizean!
The new Council was installed tonight during Connections. Congratulations to all these students!
Afterwards was the BCM Christmas party. We enjoyed Christmas carols, games, snacks and being serenaded by Hampden-Sydney’s acoustical group.
