A letter from the Endowment Committee

Dear Longwood BCM Alumni,
Greetings from the Mary Ellen Petty Chapman Endowment Committee!! We are thrilled to be writing to you with wonderful news. As many of you know, the Mary Ellen Petty Chapman Endowment Fund was started with a generous gift from the estate of Mary Ellen Petty Chapman. When the fund was established, it was decided that a principal of $25,000 must first be met prior to any disbursements. With the help of many alumni, we met the goal of $25,000 in 2016!! Yay!!
Since then, we have given money to the BCM to assist with mission trips to several places such as: Austria through the Kairos Missions Initiative with the Baptist General Association of Virginia, Standing Rock Indian Reservation in the Dakotas, and Sunshine Folk Food Farm in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
However, our job is not done. We continue to need the generous support of our alumni to help this fund grow. With your assistance, we will be able to increase the impact that the Longwood Baptist Collegiate Ministry has on the campus, in the community, and in the world by assisting with mission trips and other projects of the BCM.
As always, your donation is tax-deductible and can be in the form of a pledge or direct donation. You may bring your donation to the Longwood BCM Alumni Association Reunion on April 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Longwood BCM Building, or you may mail it in to the address below.
